Public articles identify their author. Author biographies may explain relevant professional experience, but SplitUp does not display a generic “reviewed by attorney” label.

Every article includes a visible disclaimer. Content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who understands the reader’s facts and jurisdiction.
Corrections and updates
Material updates should change the article’s modified date. Readers can report a potential error or outdated source through the contact form.
Editorial standards and approval
SplitUp separates authorship, operational editing, and approval. Legal-sensitive public content is approved by Launi Sheldon before publication. This internal approval does not appear publicly as a “reviewed by attorney” badge and does not convert educational information into legal advice.
Sources and verification
Specific legal-process claims should use primary sources such as statutes, court rules, court websites, or official government guidance. Plain-language explanations identify jurisdictional limits and avoid presenting a general rule as a prediction for an individual case.
Corrections, material changes, and records
Reported errors are evaluated against the best available primary source. Material corrections update the article’s modified date. SplitUp retains the source and publication record in its content system so changes can be traced and reversed when necessary.
Periodic review
This policy and operational references are reviewed at least every 90 days and after a material change to applicable law, platform capabilities, or editorial workflow.
