Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: October 13, 2025

Our Commitment to Accessibility

SplitUp, LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all individuals, including users with disabilities. We believe that everyone — regardless of physical or cognitive ability — should be able to access the tools, information, and community resources offered through the SplitUp mobile app (“App”) and website (www.thesplitupapp.com) (“Website”).

We are continually improving the user experience to make our content as inclusive, equitable, and usable as possible.

Accessibility Standards We Follow

SplitUp strives to meet or exceed the accessibility requirements defined by:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d), which ensures accessibility for federal electronic and information technology.

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III, covering access to places of public accommodation, including digital services.

Our goal is full WCAG 2.1 AA alignment across all SplitUp products.

How We Make SplitUp Accessible

We have implemented or are in the process of implementing the following accessibility features across our Website and App:

  • Text alternatives for non-text content, including icons and images.

  • Logical and consistent page structure with clear headings and landmarks.

  • Color contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

  • Full keyboard navigability for all primary actions.

  • Support for screen readers such as VoiceOver (iOS), TalkBack (Android), and NVDA (Windows).

  • Clear and descriptive link text and labels.

  • Adjustable text size and zoom compatibility with operating systems and browsers.

  • Accessible forms with labels, error identification, and ARIA roles.

  • Regular audits and manual testing of app and website updates.

Ongoing Accessibility Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing priority for SplitUp. We are:

  • Conducting routine accessibility audits on new releases.

  • Including accessibility checkpoints in our QA and development cycles.

  • Engaging third-party accessibility consultants for annual reviews.

  • Training internal staff and contractors on accessibility best practices.

As technologies evolve, we will continue adapting to maintain and enhance accessibility for all users.

Third-Party Tools and Integrations

While we strive for universal accessibility, certain third-party platforms used within SplitUp — such as YouTube for video content, Stripe for payments, or analytics tools — may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We do not control these third-party elements but encourage their developers to make improvements where possible.
