SplitUp, the mobile application (“App”), and thesplitupapp.com, the website (“Website”), are owned and operated by Launi Sheldon, Esq., located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Together, these entities are referred to as the “Platform.”
This Privacy Policy describes how SplitUp collects, uses, stores, and protects information obtained through the Platform. By using SplitUp, users consent to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
SplitUp collects limited information necessary to operate and improve the Platform. The information collected may include the following:

Account Information: When users create an account, they may provide a name, email address, and login credentials.

Payment Information: All payment processing occurs through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. SplitUp does not collect or store full credit-card or banking information.

Affiliate Tracking: When users follow affiliate or referral links, SplitUp or its affiliate partners may collect anonymized tracking identifiers to confirm referrals and calculate commissions. SplitUp does not share personally identifiable payment data with affiliates.

SplitUp uses Google Analytics, Firebase, and similar tools to collect anonymized usage data. Cookies and device identifiers help track traffic and improve functionality. Users can disable cookies or analytics in device or browser settings. SplitUp does not sell user data for advertising purposes.
6. Affiliate and Referral Data
SplitUp participates in affiliate programs and may earn commissions when users engage with recommended third-party products or services. Tracking uses anonymized identifiers only and never includes personal financial information. Affiliate partners must comply with privacy and data security obligations consistent with this Policy and applicable laws.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
SplitUp may share limited information only as necessary with:

SplitUp employs encryption, firewalls, secure servers, password protection, and limited employee access to safeguard personal data. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure, and users transmit data at their own risk.
10. User Rights and Deletion Requests
Users may request access to their personal data, request corrections or deletions, withdraw consent, or opt out of analytics tracking by contacting launi.sheldon@thesplitupapp.com. SplitUp may verify identity before fulfilling requests and may retain limited data as required for compliance or dispute resolution.
11. Children’s Privacy
SplitUp is designed for adults aged eighteen and older. It does not knowingly collect information from minors. Parents or guardians who believe a minor has submitted information should contact SplitUp immediately to request deletion.
12. International Data Transfers
SplitUp operates in the United States. By using the Platform, users outside the U.S. consent to the transfer and processing of their information in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from their jurisdiction.
13. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. SplitUp is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those third parties. Users are encouraged to review external privacy policies before interacting with such services.

15. Updates to This Policy
SplitUp may revise this Policy periodically. The “Effective Date” at the top of this document reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. All disputes must first be submitted to mediation in Maricopa County, Arizona. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration before a single arbitrator under the American Arbitration Association rules in Maricopa County, Arizona.
